Welcome to our new blog, to follow the goings on of our business, The Lindsay Loo Company and the woman behind her. It is sad to say we have been impacted by the economy just like so many other small business owners. After winning the coveted Innovation of the Year award at the end of 2008, we saw a large influx of orders. Then 2009 hit and with very few re-orders and only a handful of new stores, we began the downward spiral which is now selling our wares to friends and family for wholesale prices exclusively.
We realize our price point is a difficult one in this economic climate, but materials and labor in the US really are so much more expensive than outsourcing to another country. But even to do that you need a lot of cash upfront and we just don't have the capital. So we are currently limping along and are down sizing our inventory as well as materials. Step one is to enter into blog land and faze out the website (as both would be hard to maintain). I really enjoy the blog layout and enjoy reading other blogs as well. If you would welcome me into blog land by becoming a follower I would love it!
I guess it is official, I am a blogger, or almost. I have to be consistent about this one to become a real blogger and get my certificate of authenticity right? Ha!
